First of all Jesus did not look like any of the photos you have seen in the churchs or the statues or great murals you have seen. Similiar to this photo, notice this Jesus is NOT white. This photo is also fictional but closer to more true to his skin color.
I am not trying to make any other point here except to say, Jesus was not a white man with movie star good looks. In fact he was a DARK SKINNED MAN with coarse hair and was very common looking.
How do I know this?
This is how everyone else in his part of the country looked and that is a fact! If you watch the Daily News coverage from Iraq you will see what his heritage is.
My point is, He did not look like Jeffry Hunter with Blonde Hair and blue eyes, that is for sure!
It does not really make a bit of difference what COLOR he was, it is just my point to say we have changed many things about the TRUE Jesus. And what we THINK he looked like is from ARTISTIC representations and Hollywood.
There really is NO description of Jesus in the bible but the reality of his heritage is very clear and you can find his Family Tree written in black and White in the bible, Check it out.
Unfortunatly Jesus has been protrayed incorrectly for so many years he is not really thought of much or at all during the holiday season.
People are really much to busy shopping and trying to beat each other out of the best sale price since the BLACK friday sales began.
If you can find Jesus under all the wrapping paper, christmas lights, decorations, candy, excessive consumption of food, parties, etc... you will still find the JESUS that is mostly a figment of their imagination.
Even the Christmas story of the Three Kings giving the baby Jesus gifts in the Manger is not the true story.
Now first of all you have to believe the Bible for this story to make much sense to you. So if you do not believe there is not much purpose for you to read any further. Either the Bible is fact based or it is not. I believe it is, and I am always right!
If you would read the Bible you will discover that Jesus was a toddler and living in a regular household with his parents by the time he was visited by so called wise men. Read the book and you will see for yourself.
Also you will discover that Jesus was NOT born on December 25th but more likely in the Spring time. No one can tell for sure as the DATE is not in the BIBLE. The 25th of December is a Pagan Holiday date that has been CHRISTIANIZED and that is a fact.
The whole christmas season is totally man made and I am sure If Jesus was here he would not be very pleased at all with the obession with spending and gross overeating. As an excuse to celebrate his birth. Really has NOTHING at all to do with HIM.
If we were to do anything special this holiday season, it should be to take our time off from work and the extra money we are going to spend, and give it to a charity that would help one of HIS children eat better all year long not just a christmas dinner, drink clean water, provide year round shelter, help the sick, etc.... YOU GET THE IDEA?
Do your kids kids really need another TOY? Do you really need another piece of jewelry or instrument of entertainment? There are people in your own community that will go to bed hungry tonight due to No fault of their own. Bad luck, illness, and other circumstances. And remember when you go to church, please do not pray "THANK YOU GOD FOR ALL THE STUFF WE HAVE"
The christmas season starts with a big bang and is over 5 minutes after all the presents are open. I wonder what JESUS WOULD SAY ABOUT IT?
If you would like to make a comment on anything I write please feel free to do so. If you do not agree with me that is fine. Like I always say, it is O.K. to be wrong

threads[1] = new thread(3035501, 'New Breast Cancer Resource', 'editor', '10/13/08', '07:36 PM','On the Move With a New Breast Cancer Resource (ARA) – When a woman is first diagnosed with breast cancer, all kinds of questions go through her mind, and not all of them are about the cancer itself. “Will I be able to remain active? What kind of impact will treatment have on my lifestyle? Can I still be intimate with my significant other?”
When California resident Mary Jean Lynberg was first diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer back in 2004, she felt numb and physically ill. “My doctor had informed me that the type of tumor I had was fast growing and as a result, she would be very aggressive with my treatment. She told me that meant several rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and maybe even surgery. I was very aware that life as I knew it was going to go through some drastic changes,” Lynberg says.
According to the American Cancer Society, 40,000 women (25 to 30 percent of women with breast cancer) are diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer every year. HER2 is part of a family of genes that play roles in controlling cell growth. In some breast cancers, for reasons no one understands, cancer cells have too much HER2.
Shortly after Lynberg was diagnosed, one of the first things she did was seek information and comfort online. “While I found several support groups that helped me get informed about my special form of breast cancer, I couldn’t find a site that spoke to the rest of my life – those topics that could benefit me on the road back to wellness,” she says. “I wanted to learn more about how to live the type of lifestyle I had before battling the disease. Would I still be able to enjoy my passions, like golf and travel?” Thankfully, Lynberg was able to continue pursuing those passions in one form or another, partly because her treatment included an oral therapy that she could take wherever and whenever she needed it.
Today, Lynberg’s breast cancer is in remission, but she remembers the struggles she faced at the time to figure it all out. However, she is happy to learn that the women who follow in her footsteps will not experience that same struggle. Launched this September, a new online resource is helping women and their loved ones continue to live a healthy, active, on-the-move lifestyle despite their cancer diagnosis.
HER Move (www.hermove.com) is the first ever Web-based, lifestyle program specifically for women in all stages of HER2-positive breast cancer, including the newly diagnosed, those living with advanced or metastatic disease and the long-term survivors. In addition to a unique offering of health and wellness information, there are resources that inspire women with HER2-positive breast cancer to live life to the fullest as best they can by staying on-the-move and living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Marybeth Bond, a travel expert and author of 11 travel books for women, is among the experts who have material posted on the site. “Travel has an uncanny way of taking us back to the simplicity that makes life precious again. A close friend recently told me that her first trip after diagnosis marked the beginning of hope – hope that she could live the life she had pre-cancer.”
But the key, points out Bond, is to recognize that “travel” has many definitions. “An afternoon visit to a botanical garden, a day cruise on a lake, or a walk in the woods with a loved-one can turn your attitude upside-down, change negatives into positives and pain into purpose.”
Those who have questions about intimacy, sexual connection and romance – generally not topics that are easy to discuss with your doctor, let alone their partner – can find answers courtesy of Ruth Peltason, author of the book, “I AM NOT MY BREAST CANCER.” A breast cancer survivor herself, she interviewed hundreds of women from all walks of life to get their take on the topic and shares what she learned on the site.
There’s also a section dedicated to caregivers headed up by HER2 Support Group’s (www.her2support.org) Joe Druther, whose wife, Christine, is a breast cancer survivor. “While being a caregiver can be stressful, there are many support groups made up of people like me who were unexpectedly given the role of caregiver. It can take some time to get adjusted to this new role, but know it is a crucial one – one that may be challenging at times, yet rewarding because you are, after all, helping someone you love.”
In addition to sharing resources, the site also creates a community where women can share their personal stories, anecdotes, recipes and photographs among new friends, and learn from the experiences of others. HER Move was funded and developed by GlaxoSmithKline Oncology.

Yes, I am 33 years old and my daughter is almost half my age...she is 16 years old. (Any violent reactions?) Nowadays, it\'s but normal to see teen-agers into early pregnancy and this happened to me 16 years ago. I was only 16 when I got pregnant, imagine.... just my daughter\'s age.
You may realize how my heart was pounding before her big day...All the what if\'s were almost biting my head off.
What if she gets too serious with a boyfriend? (Yes, she\'s allowed to) What if she spoils her 4th year in high school and resort to early marriage? What if she follows my footstep and be pregnant at 16?
These were some of the worries I have in mind....but to tell you the truth, the better part of my mind and in my heart, I was certain it wouldn\'t happen....do you want to know why?
It\'s all about right parenting. No, I am not a perfect parent but being a very young mom exposed to the reality of life at 16, I have learned so much from my environment to know that keeping an open communication among your children is the most vital part of a parent-child relationship. No, I don\'t blame my parents when I got pregnant early...it was my choice and it was my decision. But thinking back, I knew that if I only had someone to discuss my emotions that time, I knew the early pregnancy could have been prevented.
And that was exactly what I had promised myself, that before my daughter seeks advice of a friend or anybody, let me be the first to know. Call me a paranoid mother, but I started teaching my daughter casual things about relationships and crushes at her young age of 10. For me it was the best time as I became very sensitive of her feelings. I knew if she admires somebody from her class, I was wise enough to drop some casual lines to make her open up to me, and when she did....I grabbed the chance and had a cute talk with her. It was a bit painful for my part as I was not ready yet to see my daughter having a relationship of her own...(I always told her she has to be 18, first) but I knew it would be only few years from that time and we have to face this fact..and that\'s what I did. I embraced the reality that the younger generation nowadays are more exposed to sensuality...let us be, as parents, be their first mentor. Parents should not only do the talking but should be a very good listener and an excellent adviser.
I am proud today that despite being away...my constant telephone communication and unending casual talks with my daughter helped her cope with the ups and downs of teen relationships. Being with her when she cried a bucket of tears when her young boyfriend left her for a classmate has immensely help her get back on her feet and get on with her pretty teen life in no time at all.
Now, she\'s enjoying few more remaining weeks of vacation, rekindling high school friendships every now before heading off to college. This morning she proudly announced Mama that she has just completed her college registration. My baby is going to be a sophisticated Business Administration student. I\'m so proud of her.

1.As early at six in the morning and still in the middle of your last hour of sleep before starting your day and you are suddenly awaken by the buzzing sound of your mobile.
2.While half awake and half a sleep, you realize that it’s not even the alarm that you have set to wake up, but an SMS which runs like, "Ma, please call me, it\'s very urgent!"
3.Not even one minute passed, and you didn’t even had the chance to check how early it was in the morning and you receive another message which goes, "Ma, why aren\'t calling, please call me now it\'s very urgent!”, a one-liner enough to make your heart almost pop out of your chest.
Such a very nice morning to begin the day with, isn’t it?You see, to top the situation off, there were even a number of times when I did not have sufficient credits to my mobile phone (I hate myself for not being prepared!) and these little love of my life are sending messages as if the earth will crumble to dust if I don’t call on that instant.
On those instances, even if I was still an hour ahead to wake up, the urgent messages were more than enough for me to scramble to my feet (keeping both my hands close to my chest to make sure it won’t fall off) and shamelessly snatch my roommate\'s mobile phone. While dialing our number back home, my hands would be trembling so violently that I wouldn\'t dial the numbers right this not only because of the extremely low temperature of the air conditioning but also because of the panic feeling building up (afraid of the follow-up SMS if I don’t call anytime now).Because of these I would at times, carelessly drop my roommate\'s or my mobile phone on the floor (thankful all the time that the room is fully carpeted, whew!). Once I hear the other end of the line ringing, I would be praying with all my might (calling almost all the Patron Saints I know, good thing I only know a few) that nothing very serious is in store for me at that time. In a short while, I heard the familiar tiny and shy "Hello, Mama?" of my eight-year-old son. I had, as far as I could, calmly asked him what has happened and why he wanted me to call so badly and that didn’t he remember what I had just told him the other day that they were four hours ahead of my time. Oblivious to what I have just told him, he started whispering (take note, he was whispering like he was hiding from somebody) the reason why he wanted me to call.I was beginning to worry even more as I sensed that he was struggling for words. "Mama..." he started while I on the other end was holding my breath for him to spill the news."Can you tell papa that I don\'t want to go to the barber shop today?” It took me literally 10 seconds to grasp what he has just told me and it was only when I heard my son\'s impatient and irritated voice that I was able to respond, but I was by that time struggling to control my laugh because I didn\'t want to wake my still snoring roommates.More importantly, I did not want to offend my son who just didn\'t want a hair cut that day. I asked him as nicely as I could (trying to hide my giggles) why he didn\'t want to go to the barbershop and he said that he didn\'t want his hair to be razor- shaven again. You see, when Kyle was four or five, his dad used to trick him of getting a nice hair cut and would quietly connive with the barber guy who would end up mercilessly shaving my son’s hair off to his surprise (to his horror actually).
To simplify my son\'s predicament and to save my roommate\'s mobile credits, and lastly to possibly salvage at least half an hour more sleep, I asked my son to immediately hand the phone over to his dad and so we can immediately discuss the poor little guy\'s request. My husband had a very good laugh when he heard what I had to tell him.Yes, for him it was ridiculously funny while I was close to calling an ambulance for myself.
In the end, the father and the son still went to the barber shop that day, this time with an honest promise (or an agreement) that a nice and honest (no more tricks) hair cut will be made instead of a quick razor shaved head. Thanks to me and thanks to my mobile phone.
Let me tell you that, that particular case was just one of the many situations which add to the pros and cons of keeping or not keeping my mobile. No matter how many times I have tried to explain this issue to my kids (trust me, I tried all my best), my efforts proved to be futile because the same scene still occurs be it day or night in different forms, in different sizes, different colors and shapes.
Anyway, no matter how seemingly desperate I am for the way I complain, in the end, I chose to keep the mobile anyway.I know that every now and then, these urgent calls and heart-popping messages will just keep on coming. With the months I have stayed away from them, I have taught myself to be calm and to extend my patience to the utmost (it was a great way of training, I can tell you) and to accept everyday life as it is.No matter how odd and strange my children’s ways may seem, I know that these are only few simple ways my children would want to let me know how utterly significant my presence in their life is.I bet my life that this is 100% true because this is exactly how I feel for them.
Being a mother is not easy, but being a mother like me who has to work and earn a living away from my children is incomparably difficult, because it takes a tremendous gut to survive. And I survive knowing that my children are counting on me.
I will stop whining and complaining now….I am just a mother (with a mobile phone) and I am just terribly missing my kids.

The USA government has recently released the following statistics regarding food prices. For example: Wheat has more than tripled in the past 10 months! Milk has increased by 17%! Eggs has increased by 25%! Cheese has increased by 15%! Rice and Pasta has increased by 13%! Bread has increased by 12%!
THere is NOT one single investment I can think of that I am aware of that will increase by TRIPLE!!! And besides CAN YOU EAT A PAPER DOCUMENT?? Just imagine if you had purchased bulk dried goods of wheat and rice, your investment would have been from 13% to THREE TIMES WHAT YOU PAID!
I have for many years purchased bulk quantities of food and placed in my home food storage supply. We have a room that looks like a grocery shelf, row after row of oatmeal, rice and other foods. When I see a discount price I purchase an amount that I think can be used within 6 months. I then move the older items to the front of the shelf. Simply rotating the stocks that are older to the front will keep all the items fresh. Besides dried goods can last many many years. We store most of the items in sealed plastic bags or storage containers just to make sure there is NO investation by bugs or other pests and to keep the items as air tight as possible.
I would also suggest to store several containers of WATER, Juices and other liquids. As you will need those also.
If you only use these foods for your regular consumption, there will still be a considerable savings over the year. BUT just imagine if you lost your job or there was some type of disaster where you could not get to the grocery for several days or even weeks. THEN this food storage would be even MORE important!
Do yourself a favor and convert some of your savings you have in the bank to FOOD. The money in the bank is LOSING money faster than the bank is paying interest!!!
FOOD IS YOUR BEST INVESTMENT!

threads[9] = new thread(2569971, 'Is the Rapture true?', 'MessageForToday', '03/15/08', '10:05 AM','
Rapture: What does the Bible teach about the secret rapture?
The word rapture does not appear in the Bible but is a term frequently used to mean the Second Coming of Jesus. Let\'s first begin by looking at some Bible texts:
1. John 14:1-3. Jesus promised He would return.
2. Acts 1:9-11. Angels confirmed His promise and testified to its truthfulness.
3. Revelation 1:7. When Jesus returns every eye shall see Him.
4. Matthew 24:27. His return shall be like lightning flashing across the sky.
5. I Thessalonians 4:16-17. It will be an audible event. The righteous dead will be resurrected and along with the righteous living caught up in the sky.
6. I Corinthians 15:51-54. God will clothe His people with immortality.
7. Matthew 16:27. His return shall be a glorious event. He comes with His reward.
8. Revelation 6:14-17. The unrighteous wicked fear His coming and cry for the rocks to fall upon them.
9. Matthew 13:37-43. The evil are purged out of His kingdom by fire and the righteous saved through all eternity.
10. Isaiah 25:9. The righteous are delighted to see Him come. They joyfully exclaim Lo, this is our God
11. Revelation 19:11-16. As King of Kings leading the armies of heaven, He returns as triumphant Lord.
12. Titus 2:13. His coming is called the Blessed Hope of a lost mankind.
13. Revelation 22:11-12; 17-20. Jesus\' final invitation to prepare for His soon return.
Isn\'t Jesus coming secretly? Doesn\'t the Bible say, There will be two in the field, one taken and one left (Matthew 24:40)?
The Bible makes it abundantly plain that Jesus\' coming is not a secret event (Revelation 1:7; Psalm 50:3; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Matthew 24:27). When the Bible speaks of those being left, it does not say they will be left alive on earth. The extended passage in Luke 17:26-37 describes the event in detail. In Noah\'s day there were two classes, one taken (saved), one left (destroyed by the flood)(verse 27). In Lot\'s day there were two classes, (one taken out of the city and saved, one left in the city and consumed by the fire). It will be similar when Jesus comes (Luke 17:30-37). One class will be taken to heaven with Jesus and the other class will be destroyed. In Luke 17:37, the question is raised, Where, Lord? Where are these people left. The Bible answer is plain, Whithersoever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Revelation 19:11-18 clarifies the point that the wicked are destroyed when Jesus comes, (see also II Thessalonians 1:7-9,2:8).
Doesn\'t the Bible teach Jesus is coming as a thief (I Thessalonians 5:2)?
Each Bible reference to Jesus coming as a thief, is in reference to the unexpected time of Jesus\' coming, not the manner of His coming. He comes quickly as a thief, unexpectedly as a thief, but in glorious splendor as lightning in triumphant glory (see Matthew 24:42-44, I Thessalonians 5:1-5, Matthew 24:27).
Do God\'s people live through the coming tribulation or are they raptured before the tribulation?
The experiences of ancient Israel were examples given by God for His people living at the close of time. Just as Israel was delivered from Egyptian bondage after the plagues, so God\'s church will be protected through the plagues and be delivered from the hand of the oppressor (I Corinthians 10:11; Psalm 91; 46). Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego entered the flames when they refused to yield to the universal death decree of Babylon\'s King. In those flames God miraculously delivered them. Their death-defying faith faced the flames (Daniel 3:16-28). He comes as a thief after the plagues (Revelation 16:15). What sense would it make to declare Behold I come as a thief after six plagues are already poured out if He had already come as a thief before they were poured out? Revelation 15:8 emphatically declares No man can enter the (heavenly) Temple until the plagues are completed. II Thessalonians 2:1-3 makes it plain that the anti-christ is revealed before Jesus comes and is destroyed by the brightness of His coming (II Thessalonians 2:8).
Does the Bible teach that the righteous receive their reward when they are raptured at the beginning of a seven-year tribulation but the unrighteous are destroyed at the end of the seven-year tribulation?
The parables of Jesus make it plain that the Second Coming of Jesus is a divine climatic eventmen and women are either saved or lost. There is no seven-year period to reconsider our lives. Now is the day of salvation (II Corinthians 6:2). In Matthew 13:30. both wheat and tares (the righteous and wicked) grow together until the harvest. The righteous are saved and the unrighteous lost. In the parable of the unfaithful servant, there is no second chance. The unfaithful are lost when the Lord of the household comes unexpectedly (Matthew 24:44-51). In the parable of the sheep and goats, men and women are either saved or lost when Jesus comes (Matthew 25:31-46).

Well I previously, as a teenager, had several years of doubt and distrust in GOD due to many problems in my life. I was blaming GOD for MY problems but in reality the problems were self induced. So I also started to think that the BIBLE also was something that could NOT be trusted. BUT I finally came back to the Bible for the answers to solve MY problems.
I found some of these topics, for example.
Nutrition and Proper Diet The bible is very clear on the diet that is best for us. I had fell into the trap of eating all types of fast foods and other harmful to my body foods. In the very beginning the bible gives us a diet that today is considered to be the MOST healthful. READ IT, It is in Genesis the very first Chapter.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE There are several chapters regarding this topic.
FINANCES There are many references in the bible about how to handle money. Most bibles have an index and you can easily find where topics of finance are discussed.
BUSINESS, FAMILY AND LOVE RELATIONSHIPS This is an easy topic to find in the Bible, from cover to cover!
ADVERSITY There are many examples of how to handle Problems in your life.
SEX You bet! There is alot in the bible about SEX! No kidding!
I will get more specific next time on each of these topics and I will ONLY use the bible to show you it can be trusted. I have been assembling and creating a series of AUDIO articles, and written text. All 100% based on the bible.
EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN OR YOU ARE COMPLETELY CONVICED IT IS A BIG FAKE. YOU WILL STILL LEARN SOMETHING FROM THE TEACHING. SO DO NOT TUNE YOURSELF OUT! GIVE THE MESSAGES A CHANCE AND READ THEM, OK?

She loves with abandon, makes sure Eddie doesn\'t receive more attention than she gives to me as she goes back and forth to us for a hug.
When I put her bedclothes in the dryer in the evening to get good and warm for her, she stands there waiting for them so she can curl up in them and for me to cover her up and she knows to lift her head up so that I can put her pillow under her head.
Do we spoil this dog? No more than she spoils us!
We went to Walmart a couple days ago and upon bringing the bags in from the porch while Eddie was parking the car, I noticed Jezzie was sniffing at the bags. What did she find but a new toy named "Mr. Tiger!" She pulled him out of the bag and took off running through the house so that she could see if he squeaked. We always buy one with a good noise to it. She already knows his name when I say it and will go and pick him out of all the other toys. She has 2 Mr. Crabcakes, Bear Bear, BoneBone, toytoy, Mr. BunBun, amongst many others which fill the whole basket. She will take off running down stairs to bring one of her toys to the windowseal to sit with her while she looks out over the walking trail.
Even though I have sewed the arms and legs on her toys, they are ready to be sewed again. She will go to her basket and bring me each of her toys so that I will throw them for her to run from one end of the house to the other.
When Eddie leaves the house Jezebel goes and stands at the door to watch what he is doing. If she sees the car leave, she becomes an alert dog! She will constantly go to the door to see if he is coming home or as though she is watching me and the house. When he comes back home she resumes her playful spirit!
